I have to admit, I'm rather fond of this series despite the fact that I usually don't care much for CG animation. The character interactions, while somewhat predictable, are quite fun to watch. And the situations that Hibiki manages to get himself (including the whole way he gets onboard) are funny as anything. The sci-fi setting, the way the series presents gender relations, and a slew of fabulous characters just set the series up so nicely.
